RESOLVED - Fusion 360 Outage

All - We are experiencing outages that are impacting all data access interactions.  These include but not limited to Open, Save, Upload, Export and Viewing.  We are working actively to correct the problem and will update the Health Dashboard once we have an ETA and once it's been resolved.  I'd suggest working Offline until we have the issue resolved.  Really appreciate your patience!

UPDATE 4:45pm PST - We're getting ready to remove the banner and take users online.  Fusion 360 should automatically return online within the next 20mins, but you can also (save first) and restart Fusion 360 which should take you online manually.  Due to the massive amount of information being transferred as we ramp back up, please tread lightly (i.e. no immediate massive data uploads if possible).

Thanks again for everyone's patience, the Autodesk team appreciates the support and will continue to monitor closely over the next few hours!

@charliex2

I really don't like the whole "they are huge and they have the people to fix things ect " thought process. While that may be true it certainly doesn't mean things are better or get fixed faster. In fact I would say the bigger the platform is the harder it falls and the more complex it is to get going again.

I do get your general point, nothing is easy, but when is doing the right thing ever easy?

If they would give us business users an appliance then it would all be a moot point anyways. It makes sense on so many levels, I cant think of any downsides...

well to be honest it was talking about myself, since i felt like i was coming off a bit fanboi in my post.

even a $5,000 CNC is more than F360, doesn't have to be 30K.  Any price CNC can go offline for more than a few hours with a fault, so if you're relying on production then you should be responsible about making sure you have a recovery plan.

I couldn't even load F360 at first this morning, so the offline part wasn't a lot of help til i figured out i could leave it running for 10 minutes, but then my part was sitting with a spinning icon since there was some sync going on last time it was used, so no local file either. So the whole, it works on my machine, won't apply to everyone.. but glad it works for you.

Uhh, That is basically what i was saying, that even though EC2 has a massive team and budget, it still fails, complexity usually rises on larger teams, and its a very difficult problem to solve.

Health Dashboard claims fusion360 is "currently working as expected" but my uploads status are still stuck.

@Anonymous - have you tried saving and restarting Fusion?

Indeed it worked after restarting fusion, thank you.

Even though I checked the f3d files were there on my local drive I was not sure those offline saves worked, hence why I wasn't very confident trying a restart.

But my work is there after restarting fusion, all good.

Marking this issue "resolved" was premature.

Issue marked as RESOLVED but it is not until now (11:45 PM PST Tuesday). Well, I was working on my project then suddenly Fusion closed and can't open it again (Service Outage) error message.

Probably this issue should give you guys an idea to add the option to work offline on the launch of the software as it will happen again, and I can only image how many people who are working on fixed deadlines will feel about it.

This is no doubt one of the best software out there, but you need to make using it less restricted and complicated. Network dependent usage will never work right.

@Anonymous - we've had several reports of users in this state and it looks like it was an issue related to your hub that was triggered by the outage.  I believe those affected have all since been repaired, are you still seeing the message?
