RESOLVED - Fusion 360 Outage

All - We are experiencing outages that are impacting all data access interactions.  These include but not limited to Open, Save, Upload, Export and Viewing.  We are working actively to correct the problem and will update the Health Dashboard once we have an ETA and once it's been resolved.  I'd suggest working Offline until we have the issue resolved.  Really appreciate your patience!

UPDATE 4:45pm PST - We're getting ready to remove the banner and take users online.  Fusion 360 should automatically return online within the next 20mins, but you can also (save first) and restart Fusion 360 which should take you online manually.  Due to the massive amount of information being transferred as we ramp back up, please tread lightly (i.e. no immediate massive data uploads if possible).

Thanks again for everyone's patience, the Autodesk team appreciates the support and will continue to monitor closely over the next few hours!

Under your name in the top right corner, there is an option to "work in offline".

On my machine Fusion 360 won't open to the point that I can actually access any of my files offline. I need access to a set of those files for a design review scheduled in about 1 hour. Any suggestions?

Looks like the outage has stopped Screencast from working as well. Can't upload or view existing screencast. There doesn't seem to be anything on the product heath dashboard for Screencast.

@Anonymous are you saying when you launch Fusion 360, you can't get pass the splash screen?

Since the Offline Mode was updated it makes outages not so bad. But still can be very inconvenient when doing certain things. Hopefully this one won't last too long. - Jacob S.

Correct. Can't get past the splash screen.

@Anonymous - glad to hear it eases the pain a little bit, but agree it's still frustrating.

Another day my whole business is at a standstill and I might look really bad at a client meeting tomorrow..

I know you guys work really hard, but I thought this downtime issue was a top-priority and was going to get better?

It looks like I'm about to dive into a year-long product development process with our biggest client yet. Can someone on the Fusion team say with some amount of confidence that Fusion 360 / A360 reliability will be greatly improved in the near future? I need to make a very tough decision here.

It looks Autodesk is doing very well financially, but FWIW, I'd gladly pay more for the product if it would significantly improve reliability; the value of a reliable Fusion 360 for me would be quite high.

Edit: Just saw the work offline work around, this is a big help for today at least. Thanks!

After a few forced kills, if you leave the splash screen to exist for about 10 minutes it eventually loads, though clicking work offline doesn't seem to do anything of note. (windows)

Oh joy, this again!

Any estimate on when it will come back up?

Any estimate on when fusion will be updated to handle outages more gracefully as was promised some time ago?

@sambirchenough - I'll definitely say that it's still a very high priority.  That said, outages will still happen, and that's why at the same time we're putting emphasis on improving how F360 responds to the outages, giving you access to your data when offline, the offline experience itself, etc.  Unfortunately today's outage is widespread (beyond Autodesk) and impacting many cloud services.

@CarlM89 - I just received an ETA of approximately one hour from now (~noon PST).  We've been putting in work to address the offline transition and improve the offline experience, however we're finding some issues with that transition for some users right now.  We're capturing and will make it a high priority to fix.

Yeah AWS is causing havoc again, i only ended up loading fusion360 since i was unable to launch instances on EC2 to do work there.

Gonna be a bad day for a lot of people who're demoing at MWC/GDC 🙂
