Rendering/ Graphics bug with revolved object and decals

I have a revolved body with a transparent png decal applied to it. I have a dot that apears above the decal in regular model mode and it shows up when I render as well. I would like to place my decal on the center of the part, but this artifact shows up and covers part of my decal.Screen Shot 2016-01-07 at 2.59.57 PM.pngTowerdx7.png

Does the object have a bunch of faces that make a pole in the middle on that face or is it a single face?

I had this problem once before and had to do a planar projection on that face to fix it.

Hi Eric,

Are you able to attach the file so that we can take a look at it?  I tried a similar workflow on my machine and wasn't able to see the same problem, so I may have missed a step or there may be something specific to your model or values that we need to investigate.

Cheers,

Sorry for jumping in here, but does this have anything to do with "chain faces"?

@eric_strebel, thanks a lot for reporting the issue to us. Our QA had logged a bug for this. And it was fixed now. Hopefully the fix can go into the next release update. Thanks!
