Hello All,
I am adding in an ellipse that will become a shelf in this piece. I want to reference the major/minor axis of the ellipse with the faces of the table legs so that if I update the dimensions of the legs, the shelf will follow. I've attached reference images.
I tried creating a coincident constraint between the axis endpoints and the corresponding leg face, and it doesn't give me an error or say "cannot compute", but it doesn't actually do anything. Does anyone have a good idea on how to achieve this? Thanks

That would be Sketch > Project > Project Intersect. (Purple lines)
Select the face of two legs into the sketch, make the axis coincident to the purple lines.
Wherever the legs go, the shelf sketch has to follow.
Might help.....
The video will show how to reference keypoints on the upright angles legs to keep the ellipse located. Model is attached.

I just reviewed John's file, to see what happened.
It's still Project Intersect. (You get a point, and not a purple line)
To get there he needed / created 2 new sketches (why?) in 2 of the uprights,
and selected that face centre line instead. You can see that mentioned late in the video.
On closer checking I had presumed the upright to be 1 original, and 3 copies but apparently not.
(All 4 are identical, mirrors will interfere with a BOM if required)
Might help....
