Question about making a random pattern mesh

Is there a way to make the random pattern which serves as the base of the table as shown in the pic in Fusion 360?

This was really good video, and pretty much on point but what if I didn't want my shape defined by just triangles. Meshes are triangle. Is there anyway I could change that to any other polygon count?

I personally would use Blender and a plugin called Tissue.
