Importing of exported drawings doubles designs

Hi everyone!

Current situation in a project is:

  • Design A
  • Design B, referencing Design A
  • Drawing of B
  • Extra Drawing of A

At this point of time, Drawing of B is linked to Design B and therefore to Design A. Drawing of A is only linked to Design A.

If I export Drawing of B as an Fusion360 archive and import it to another project, three items are restored: Drawing of B, Design B and Design A (due to their previous linkage).

If I additionally import Drawing of A, another instance of Design A is restored! Now I have two instances of Design A - one linked to Design B and Drawing of B, and another one, linked to Drawing of A. How can I avoid that?

Background: I am trying to transfer some test designs and drawings from a trial account to a personal hub. And as transferring of projects to personal hubs is now possible by design, I tried to do it with exporting and importing the items manually.

Thank you very much in advance and kind regards,

Hans

Hi,

please see the attached images.

1) Source project.png: Showing the content (designs and drawings) of the source project

2) Import1.png: Showing the destination project after importing the first drawing as f3z-File.

3) Import2.png: Showing the destination project after importing the second drawing as f3z-File. Also showing the two instances of "Fenster" design. In the original project there was only one instance, linked to its drawing AND to the main design "Radlhütte". After importing, one instance is linked to the drawing, and the second one to "Radlhütte" design.
