Hi,

I am facing the problem of opening the cloud files.  Can I know the processor speed and Ram capacity to run this software in laptop?  And which are the parameters that are affecting to open the files.  I have attached a file to this post.

I have installed Solidworks, Matlab and Fusion 360 softwares in my laptop. which has i5 processor and 6GB Ram

Thankyou

Hi Ranjith - did this issue just recently spring up or have you been running into it for some time?  I know it sounds simple, but would you mind trying a complete restart of Fusion 360?

If that doesn't help, could you either attach or email me your diagnostic log files, to brian DOT repp AT autodesk.com?

Here is how to access your log file:

Hi Brian,

I have faced this problem for two to three times from the past 1month.  And even the files are some time create a problem to open.  But after I open the system and switch off the system for two times.  It will set to proper.

Ok, I will do the diagonsis as you said and I will send the files.

Thanks

I have had issues with cloud storage also, my solution is to save a copy on my hard drive so I know I can access it when needed.
This is not what the designers intended but it works for me.

Hi broncomech,

I had tried even that but the files are not getting opened and I thought even to ask the same question(opening the local files) in this forum as next 😛

Thanks
Ranjith

To open local files use New Design From File.

In some cases, this issue is perpetuated by network connectivity issues. Potential root causes could be conflicting 3rd party softwares running in the background, or network restrictions from a proxy server. Below are some suggestions that may help.

For anti-virus software, it may help to add an exception for the Fusion360.exe and the adcefwebbrowser.exe located in the subdirectories of the below directory:

C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\<product ID>\...

Manually reset the Fusion network preferences:

1. Close Fusion 360.

2. Browse to C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Neutron Platform\Options\

3. Delete the file "NMachineSpecificOptions.xml" to give a try

4. Restart Fusion 360

Toggle Proxy detection settings:

Mac OS
1. From the Apple menu, select System Preferences
2. Select Network
3. Select the correct network (ethernet, wireles, airport, etc)
4. In the Proxies tab, enable/disable Auto Proxy Discovery
5. Apply changes and retest

Windows
1. Browse to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Internet Options
2. In the  Connections tab, select LAN settings
3. Try to Enable/Disable a Automatically detect settings option
4. Apply the changes and retest.

There are some additional suggestions in the below solution articles.

I hope these suggestions help, please let us know if you have any questions. I would be very interested to know if any of these solutions works for you (and which one it was).

Thanks,

Some of these directories are hidden by the OS by default. You can unhide them by:

Show hidden Files and Folders:

Mac OS:

  1. Open Terminal found in Finder > Applications > Utilities.
  2. In Terminal, paste the following: defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles YES.
  3. Press return.
  4. Hold the 'Option/alt' key, then right click on the Finder icon in the dock and click Relaunch.

Windows:

  1. Open Folder Options by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Appearance and Personalization, and then clicking Folder Options.
  2. Click the View tab.
  3. Under Advanced settings, click Show hidden files, folders, and drives, and then click OK.

Does that help you to locate the directories in question?

I can't able to figure out the problem, even though it's working properly right now.  Thanks for the recommendations.
