Fusion 360 closes

Hello,

I am a new user to Fusion 360.  I downloaded the program to my laptop and got it to open.  I had Fusion check my graphics card and it suggested I check online for an updated driver for it.  When I did this, downloaded the new driver and installed it I got a black screen.  I then rolled back my driver to the previous driver.  When I restarted the system everything came up as it should.

When I tried to open Fusion however it would close saying the program has stopped working.  I uninstalled Fusion and reinstalled it.  No change, Fusion still will not open.

I then went to the download webpage for Fusion 360 and opened a chat window with an expert.  Unfortunately he could not connect through team viewer.  Team viewer had worked the day before because I needed help to get the program installed originally.  Also, I can connect to my office computer through team viewer (laptop is remote here) but my office computer cannot connect to my laptop (office is remote here).

It seems to me that my laptop is blocking incoming connections somewhere.

Any ideas?

Morgan

Hey @Anonymous - curious, do you have any sort of anti-virus applications running?  If you wouldn't mind, could you send me a snapshot of your network speeds and also your log file for Fusion?  My email is brian DOT repp at autodesk.com

Here's how to get your log files:

Thanks for posting! Is the application crashing? If so, are you prompted to send a report to Autodesk? Please make sure you are adding your e-mail address to the submission form.

If you suspect it is a network related issue, there's a lot of good suggestions to edit the network settings in the below link.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Fus...

Could you try running through these suggestion to see if they help?

It may also help to add some exceptions for Fusion 360 to the anti-virus software settings. Try adding the below directory to the exception list to see if it helps.

C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Local\Autodesk\webdeploy\production\

I hope this helps! Please keep us posted on the progress! We are happy to help!

Thanks,
