Problem with an if statement controlling a joint.

I have successfully entered an if statement.

The statement relates the motion of one joint to another. d870 is the fulcrum angle, d735 is the lever angle.

if(d870 < 20 deg; 0 deg; d870 - 20 deg)   this is equal to the angle of the other joint d735.

When i test it the d735 angle does not change.

Not at all sure what is going on.

The formula is under joint lever.

d870 is in joint fulcrum.

In the modify parameters drop down.

You relationship formula are fine, it is just that you are not applying them to the Joint through the Joint Limits commands.  You were trying to apply them through the Joint Angle Offset which will not work.  I gave the parameters names to help explain it.  Model is attached.

Still a little confused....I couldn't drive the joints in your file.

So I created a sketch with an angle d1016.  I named d1016 Fulcrum_Angle.  I had to re enter the formula and it works nicely....

Just looking for an explanation as to why this is the way to do this......Seems overly complicated?

Also how to you make the change parameters drop down bigger or smaller
