Problem Rendering with Canvas images and Transparencies.

Im having issue when it comes to rendering a Part with transparencies.

I have effectively a sandwhich of materials;

A clear lens (polycarbonate)

A filter (Image canvas on face of Light Bar)

A light bar (used a plastic just for this model)

When viewed in Model mode (Picture 1), it looks OK, I can see the image, through the lense, but I can also see a bit of the lense underneath the shroud (A stainless part which should block it?), so not sure on that?

But when I go to render, at first it also looks ok, but again with th eshadow of the lense underneath the stainless part(Picture 2),

But when I render it, its as if the canvas image doesnt exist, not the Light Bar? (Picture 3)

Am I missing something obvious??

Thanks

Canvas images don't render, or at least they didn't the last time I looked.

You have to add them as decals.

Phil is right. Decals render, canvas does not.

Canvas is intended as a fixed guide to help you draw something, such as a logo. Decal is just that, it behaves like a sticker.

Here is a decal placed on the rear/flat side of this lens, and rendered.

Please let me know if you have more questions.

This has also just helped me out. I wondered why my "decals" were not showing on renders!

Thanks, Steve
