Cannot select edge

I am trying to add a fillet to to a selection of edges on my model.

When I try to select which edges to apply the fillet to, I get stuck in a situation where I can select an edge on one side of my model, but not the mirrored edge on the other side of my model.

It is not only when trying to apply a fillet that I cannot select the edge - no selection tools let me select the correct edge. Fusion 360 regards the edge as one, complete line. It disregards the vertex point in the middle of the line.

Does anyone know what causes this?

Hi,

If I'm understanding you correctly, you first say you cannot select an edge then you say you select everything??

For multiple individual edges hold down the CTRL key when clicking

For deselecting 'continuous' edges make sure the 'Chained' box is unchecked in a command.

Hi docara,

Thanks for your reply. For some reason I didn't properly attach the screencast.

I have tried again, and hopefully you can see what I mean.

Hi Simon,

I thought you were a new user - I'm afraid this is outside my knowledge base

I'm guessing from the quickness of your reply you're in Europe, Generally around 2pm UK time the guys in the States with all the knowledge start coming to the table and should be able to help.

I would suggest you upload your f3d file in readiness though just to save some time

Are you based in the UK

Hi Matt,

Thanks for the suggestion.

You can find the .f3d-file here: http://a360.co/2DijM2b

No, I'm from Denmark. And I am a fairly new user, so it is quite propable that this issue is my own fault. 🙂

Thank you for the help so far!

Simon

@Anonymous

The geometry in your file is different from what you showed us in your screencast.

Hi Manfred,

Oh, I am really sorry, I didn't think that the online file would change when I made local changes to my model.

I am sorry for the inconvenience - I'll close the topic since I don't have the old geometry anymore.

Thanks for pointing it out! 🙂
