Path Patttern gets all messed up

I'm trying to get a simple path pattern of features. It works great in preview:

but as soon as I hit "ok" it becomes a hot mess:

Does anybody have any idea what might be causing that?

Pattern on Path has its issues.  I feel you best answer is to pattern the tubes as bodies and then Combine them into the base component.  Model is attached.  Please check my spacing.

Hi,

Deviating from @jhackney1972  solution, I used the existing contour and moved the starting point of the pattern.
