Yesterday afternoon I downloaded the free "hobbyist" version of Fusion 360 and I understand that it will open and allow me to work on Inventor part and assembly models. I have old part and assembly models made in Inventor 2011 and 2015 that I would like to have access to, to use them in the next stage of my hobby work.
I am supposed to be able to either open directly from my hard drive or upload to a Project File and then pick the part with the right button on my mouse and then pick OPEN. I tried yesterday and again today with no success.
I cannot open directly from my hard drive as one source suggests. I cannot even see the files, they are hidden from view.
Yesterday I attempted to upload the part file but could not see it so I had to drag and drop. Today I can see it in the 360 upload window to pick it to upload. So I can upload the file to a Project I created but I do not get an OPEN option (see "1" and "2" attached jpg images) to allow me access to the file to work on it.
Could someone please explain to an "old" guy how to do this.
Thank you.
Alan
