Need to set distance between copies of swept objects

I have a profile that I need to be swept along a path, then copied 3 more times and the copies need to be set at equal distances from one another. Right now the only way I can see that could yield the result I want would be to copy the path and the guide rail 3 times on different planes. Surely there is a better way to do this?

eems like it would be easier to make one body, and pattern it to get your spacing

I tried that, but how do I set a specific distance between the outer shell rather than the center?

Patterns create clones, so there shouldn't be any difference if you measure from the center or from an edge.  You can enter formulas in the Distance field of the pattern dialogs.

If you mean the initial pattern needs to be copied on the same path, then you may be able to create the pattern by increasing the count, then using the Suppress option to remove the items between the secondary pattern items.

I fixed the issue by disabling scaling in the sweep. Now I can sweep the 4 profiles without them being crooked.
