Moving / Copying drawing views between sheets

So I have too much detail to put into one drawing sheet, and I needed to add another sheet.

I can't figure out how to move existing drawing views to the second sheet without recreating the views from scratch. Click-and-drag doesn't work, neither does right clicking as there is no copy option. I can't figure out how to get the move option to work between sheets as well.

Can anyone enlighten me on the way to do this?

Hi man!

I don't think there is a way to copy views in Fusion 360. I know this in Inventor is easy to do, see this link: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcartic...

I will continue studying, if I find some way to do similar in Fusion, I post on the forum.

In fact, it seems that there is an idea of this function in Fusion 360 IdeaStation. Link: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-ideastation/copy-and-paste-between-pages-of-drawing/idi-p/...

How do you transfer "Detail Views" from one page to the next, Solidworks alows you to do this making it easier to create technical drawings. Is this posssible in Fusison 360????

Hi,

I don't think this will work in Fusion 360.

Rather you should post on the idea section to add this functionality with this software.

This is a very basic function in all other CAD software. It is a shame that issues like these are keeping Fusion to stick in the hobby segment of CAD software.

I don't think this feature is available yet, but the workaround I use is to "Duplicate Sheet", then delete the views I'm not interested in. Only suitable if you want to copy/move to a new sheet.

Is this really still down to duplicate sheet as a workaround?  Multi sheet drawings is severely crippled, because I have to recreate base views, instead of continuing detail views onto other sheets.  There seems to be allot of fairly basic drawing stuff missing.

Every week there seems to be an update to Fusion. This thread concerning detail views shown on other sheets, is posted in 2020. Are anybody at Autodesk even reading this stuff?

This request is 5 years old.

Has this been resolved?

Thanks

Nope!  They just took the ideas station, and the voting away, so we couldn't vote for things that we use.
