Lofting a mesh?

So I took two models from a 3D print website, imported into the same document, set them together how I wanted them, but I cant figure out how to loft the gap between the two, to make it stronger.  I converted them both to a mesh, but I still cant figure out how to close the gap.  I tried sketching the same circle profile on the mount, but when I extrude to the base it encroaches on the inside because it is a chamfered square.

Yes, but I'm trying to add material to the joint between the parts.  Sorry I dont have the vocabulary to more accurately describe, see screenshot.  The green is what I'm trying to do.

The green is what I'm trying to accomplish.  Add material to the weak joint/high stress area.

You only have to modify the sketch for revolve
