Mac OS 10.12.3 cant click anything

This has been happening for quite awhile on my macbook pro 2015 with OS 10.12.3.

I'll be designing something then all of the sudden none of my mouse clicks register. If I wait some will register, say Im sketching a line, I'll be able to click a start point, but it seems to freeze and wont show the line or allow me to click an end point, if I ESC out of the line, I can navigate around the workspace normally, get in and out of sketches, or navigate to another workspace normally, but I cannot actually select a face on a model. If it does allow me to actually select something when this happens, if I try to extrude, it wont let me use the slider on the model at all, but I can enter an extrude distance in the extrude box and the extrude happens normally.

I use a wireless mouse with a usb dongle, but when this happens I also cannot click anything in the program with the trackpad. outside of fusion360 the mouse and trackpad work normally.

I've noticed this happens under 2 circumstances, the first and most frequent is when I tab to another window, when I tab back to fusion it happens almost 90% of the time. Closing a project and reopening it sometimes works, but mostly does not. If I close fusion360 all together and re open, as long as I dont tab out of the program it works for a time, but eventually will start acting up again.

I also use fusion360 on a windows machine, and have never had this issue. I've had quite a few fusion crashes on the mac and have sent many crash reports, most of which, this issue was involved.

Hi @Anonymous

Thanks for posting! It looks like you are experiencing a loss of mouse focus in Fusion 360.

I have a few thoughts on this. First off, are you currently or have you ever used any peripheral devices, like a SpaceMouse, on your computer? If so, this may be an issue with the drivers interfering with Fusion 360. Please uninstall any peripheral drivers you may have and check if the problem persists.

Does your Mac have a high resolution monitor? If so, you may need to change some settings for Fusion to run properly. Please work through the instructions in this article to see if it helps remedy this issue.

I took a look at your crash reports and it looks like you are actually crashing due to a known issue caused by having an old version of the Dropbox app. Please update to Dropbox 18.4.32 - this may help resolve your issues with mouse focus.

If none of these options help, please try to create a screencast illustrating the behavior you are experiencing! I am happy to continue troubleshooting.

I've never had a space mouse and I dont have any mouse drivers installed.

I do have a retina display. So I followed that post to open fusion in low resolution, and this seems to have worked, I've been tabbing and working in fusion just fine.

Thanks for the heads up on the dropbox issue! Im updating now 🙂

Thanks for your help !
