Joint with angles

Hi

I am trying to make a design which will be in wood. So far I have come up with what will be a mortise and tenon joint. See attached image. My problem is that I can not figure out how to join these two components (I have made them as components, do not know if that is the right way? I am pretty new to this stuff). I can sure join them when they are placed horizontal and vertical, but I want an angle on the rounded component (as it is in the picture) and then align the horizontal component into the hole of the angled (like follow the red lines I have made) so it fits like a mortise and tenon. Do not know if it makes sense at all. Please ask if you are uncertain about something, then I will try to explain me otherwise.
