Joint Displaced

Hej,

I ran into this issue multiple times.

When I create joints between components the joint looks fine in first place. But over time while modifying the whole assembly sometimes the joint is just displaced. But it is not the joint itself rather than the view because as soon as I move any joint inside the file or animate the joint the joint snaps back into place.

Does anyone else has that problem or know the issue?

I have the feeling it happens more often with designs that get placed into other designs.

I tried to take some pictures:

Thanks

Florian

Hi @florian.b,

It is very difficult to see exactly wher is the problem from those pictures. Will you please attach the file, so we can check it properly.

Cheers / Ben

You aren't by any chance using a lot of linked components ?

Currently it works so it does not make sense to where the file.
And yes I'm using up to 10 linked components which have linked components themselves

@florian.b

May I ask, why aren't you breaking the links?

Ben.

Okay, so you are using this part in different assemblies at the same time and if you are changing it, it most be change everywhere?

I currently do not have a file where that is visible. Since it sometimes it just snaps back when dragging something. To me it seams like the joints or something else need a refresh.

It is really hard to say, what exactly was the proble, but if you could make a screencast, that will help as well.

The reason I asked for linked components is the Iv'e only ever seen this behavior with linked components. Usually the culprit has been that the components in the linked assembly had some problem.

If this happens again please share the file. If you are not comfortable sharing it publicly there are ways to share a project or file privately.

Hej, sorry for the long silent. Wasn't on my computer.

I made a screencast of the issue:
