Import STL, bodies are importing too smooth

I'm trying to import an STL from Thingiverse so I can make some adjustments to the screw sizes.  When I import it, the edges that that should be sharp are coming in smoothed, I've done this before many months ago and the meshes generally come in pretty good and allow me to make adjustments.  Is this just a setting issue on my part?

I suspect that you just need to change how the mesh is rendered, using this preference setting, to "Flat Shaded":
