How to layout components with joints for 3d printing?

My usual approach is to design all components, then, as separate steps, move them into desired orientation and make some tweaks for 3d printing (chamfers, drop-shaped holes, etc.)

It worked fine until I started to design model where joints are crucial for design process. Now I can't move components freely in order to layout them. And it seems there is no "Remove" command for joints, only "Delete". So how can I layout my components for 3d printing?

Hi,

Saving and exporting the elements including joints as  mesh and importing them into the slicer as separate elements

Thank you for answer!

This is what I do right now to print my design. The problem with that approach is that you have to repeat it every time design changes: split again, arrange again, draw support blockers again. There is no such problem when design is laid out and ready to print: you just call "reload stl" and all the rest remains as is.

I have found Additive section in Manufacturing workspace, when you can arrange components on plate. But I haven't found a way to export result as stl/step/whatever. And I don't want to print right from Fusion (it doesn't even know my printer).

Just export each component (or body) as a separate file (preferably as step files), then you can reload anytime.

Thank you. This is more time-consuming, but I can automate it using add-in.

Another possibility I just thought of is to make copy of each component and arrange those copies. Need to try it.

But I'm still confused why joints can't be removed.
