How to Freeze a Selection Set

Maybe I am doing this wrong but want to show the channels internal to a design. Per a suggestion here I have been doing it using selection sets since the normal visual controls don't show this (odd!). At any rate the channels disappear when working on the object and I have to keep reselecting them.  Is there a way to freeze the selection set "ON" - or perhaps another way to do this?

Thanks

Fritz

Selection Set only selects a set of entities so you can do something on them, and yes selected entities are shown highlighted, but that's just a temporary highlight. They won't stay selected once you click somewhere else.

If you are referring to this post, I don't think selection set is a solution for continuously displaying some entities. I am wondering why don't you use wireframe visual style, or apply a transparent appearance to your block, like this (in which I have also applied LED material to hole faces you they are even more visible):

File is attached.

OK--that helped. I don't want wireframe (I got spoiled since the 70s!) but I right clicked "Bodies" to get the "appearance " menu and also found the "opacity" menu there--so I adjusted and it worked. I will add it to my notes-there are a lot of options under a lot of menus to keep track of!

Thanks
