Unable to isolate bodies

I imported/uploaded a STEP file that has over 750 bodies. When I try to isolate any individual body, I'm not able to do so.

I then created my own separate .f3d test file with three bodies, and was able to isolate those bodies with no problem.

I would upload the STEP file with 750 bodies here, but it's a 200MB file, so I think it's too big to upload.

Is there anything I should know about isolating bodies that might explain why I'm unable to isolate the bodies in the STEP file? Thank you!

I have attached a STEP file of a small assembly.  Upload it and see how it reacts with the Isolate command.

Thank you! (Needed to make the bodies into components in the STEP file in order to isolate them).

I have run into the same problem this week too, I have a large  3D Scan vehicle shell in multiple surfaces as bodies within subcomponents. I can't isolate any of the bodies at body level, however it will work at component level. In the below screencast I have moved one of the bodies to an upper level component to show the behaviour. When I isolate one of the bodies in the lowest level component, all the bodies at the same level remain visible, but the one moved to a higher level component is made invisible, and vice versa.
