i dont understand how this would be relevant.. can a helix be a spiral? as i know a spiral, it is constantly increasing/decreasing the radius (of the vertual circle at a certain point on the spiral)...
with spiral i mean spirale...
The steps will be the same as in @PhilProcarioJr 's link, but to create an increasing/decreasing diameter, you will need to adjust the "Angle" setting when you create the coil.

Just in case you hadden't noticed coil has an option to make a Spiral.
After creating the solid spiral you can extract the seam using project in a sketch.

yes, i noticed now... works if you just want a spiral without the need to move it aroud (rotate for exemple) or edit the pitch... since once you deleted the body just to have the projected sketch, editing brings back the original position and even the body as well.

There is no spiral sketch tool, as far as I know this is the only work around there is.

Inkscape has a spiral tool where you can adjust the parameters of the spiral. Save it out as an .svg file and import it into Fusion.
Here's a screenshot inside inscape:
Thanks that is a great tip!!!

Hate to revive this topic from the dead but when I insert the svg it's unextrudable... I can't select the sketch. What do I need to do to extrude it?
Presume you want a spiral wall -
in Patch you can extrude the line/s, but Modelling requires a closed profile,
Can tell which one from the pic.
Yes thank you!
Great tips on spirals especially using inkscape. To extrude a scroll, create a thin offset of the spiral and then close the ends.
@martinfry111 You can also extrude the sketch in the patch workspace as a surface then thicken. Thicken has the advantage of a symmetric offset if the spiral sketch is the centre line.

You can draw the spiral with Inkscape.
Then import the .svg into Fusion.
Then Thin Extrude the sketch.
Hope it can help.
