How to create a a cut away after I had created a box

I had created a box using these commands

1) Create  ---> Box   ---> Specified all three dimensions

2) Modify ---> Shell  ---> Specified the wall dimension (0.125 inch thick) or 1/8 inch thick

3) On step 3 how do I create a cut away where the cut away is the midpoint between the

the top corner and the bottom corner ?

The cut away dimension is 0.50 inch long and 0.25 inch deep.

The picture below illustrates my description.

Just create a sketch on the upper thin surface as the sketch plane

and you'll see a mid point snap to sketch from, then create a center point rectangle with the dimensions you desire

Hi SaeedHamza. I am a newbie with Fusion 360.

Unless you gave me the exact command then I am at a loss.

An exact command in sequence of order would be like this:

1) Create ---> Box  ---> Specify all 3 dimensions

2) Modify Shell ---> Specify the wall dimension.

he gave you the command.

you create a sketch on the top edge, or even on the side of the box. which ever you prefer.

draw a rectangle , dimension it.

then use Press/pull to cut it from the box.

two easy ways of doing it. there are many more.

input your dimensions. i didnt recall them exactly while doing it.

Fusion is running slow right now, as i am doing a backup and swap to a SSD while doing this.

I’d have to say that before you add another thread that has to do with the creation of what is essentially a cube, do yourselves and us the favor and please go through all of video tutorials in the learning section.
