How to copy body in a circular pattern

Hi everyone,

this is my first time with Fusion 360 and I hope I can get some help from you guys.

I'm trying to copy two bodies, so that I have a total of three bodies in a circular pattern.

As you can see in the image, I'm pointing out my little dome/body that I'd like to "multiply" using a circular pattern (the vertical bolt would be the axis).

I go to Create - Patter - Circular pattern, but I'm not able to select the dome. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks in a advance for any help!!!!

You may download the file if it's any easier to see what I'm trying to do.

Hi,

When doing a circular pattern please make sure that you set it to choose a body and not a face, or make it a component if your body is converted into a component

and attach a screenshot, that's better for understanding

There are Circular patterns for sketches, and

Circular patterns for the Modelling area,

When in the modelling area, the type default may not be the one for you to use,

Might help....

Thanks for the reply, and sorry about the screenshot. I thought I had attached one, apparently I did something wrong 😇

I created the "dome" in a separate file, exportes as STL and imported in this drawing. At the end I just imported three times and move each one to the right location manually.

Why did you export as stl?
