I am trying to constraint to a certain line that does not exist on my geometry. So in order to constraint to that line I set up a construction line on the surface of the geometry. Now I am trying to constraint a new sketch to the construction line but I am not able to select the construction line for any constraints.
What am I doing wrong? What are the construction lines used for if I cannot use them for constraints?
Looks like you need to press P and project it into the active sketch.

Looking at the timeline you created an Axis not a construction line.
