How do I separate two sketches onto different layers for laser cutting

Hello, 

I accidentally drew two sketches on the same layer instead of different layers. The Bodies are on separate layers as I planned... But somehow the sketches are all in one sketch which makes it hard to export for laser cutting. 

I also want the circles I drew to be on both sketches, but I guess when I separate them I can project them to the other layer.  

Sorry if I'm using the wrong terminology. I am learning Fusion from Rhino and I often get confused with the appropriate way to use the layer system and the correct workflow.

Fusion does not have "layers."

You can create two new sketches. Call them, for example, "LaserSketch1" and "LaserSketch2."

Use the Sketch>Create>Project/Include>Project tool to capture what you want into each of those two new sketches.

Now, if you right-click on one of those sketches in the Browser tree, the pop-up context menu will have an option to Save as DXF. So do that for both of your new sketches. Your laser cutter probably accepts DXF files.

Ok Great. 

What I notice when I save as DXF I notice that it also saves all the construction lines. Do I just need to delete them? Or is there a way to only export the actual lines and not construction lines?

Did you make two NEW sketches like I said?

And then project ONLY the lines you want into them?

No. I made one new one. I see your point. I will make two new sketches.
