heal a sweep that joins itself (wave spring)

looking for tips on how to heal where the sweep rejoins the start of the sweep.

A quick solution might be to do a sweep 90% of the way, then loft the remaining 10% and stitch?

Turn off "Shaded with Shaded with Visible Edges Only".

Change Visual Display > Shaded.

I found nothing amiss with this Sweep.

@blaster701 is 90% a magic number?

ok, i just get pedantic, as some suppliers produce exactly what the step shows.. i've just checked the step export in edrawings and it's all good. thanks for the help!

No magic number, just do a test and see if it works. A sweep back to itself (starting point) could have many human issues. Starting plane? Guide line tangency?
Run a test.

Such a sweep creates a NURBS surface. The “lines” simply indicate the beginning and end of then NURBS surface. There is really no way around this in any CAD software I know and it isn’t a problem, because if modeled correctly the surfaces are usually at least tangent across the seam.

What the other posters suggest does not eliminate the seam, it simply hides it from view.
