Fusion will not open or create a new drawing

Anonymous
Not applicable

I'm having a problem with trying to either open any existing drawing or create a new drawing.

I get a message that tells me to uninstall and then reinstall fusion.

I have included the message and the diagnostic logs below.

Please note that the link in the message directs me to this webpage:

     forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/fusion-360-readme/td-p/4311780

This is supposed to cover known issues, but seems to have nothing to do with my problem or the message I'm getting.

The link on this page to "Autodesk Product Support" also does not seem applicable.

Please help.

Regards,

Stephan

Hi @Anonymous,

Welcome to the Fusion 360 Community!

I have seen this a couple of times before - and it used to be due to legacy registry key errors. If you are comfortable editing them, take a peek at this forum post here and try the suggestions posted by the team. I'll do some searching in your log files in the meantime to see if I can find what is happening.

Let me know if you need any help!

Thanks,

Hi Stephan,

Sorry to hear you're having a problem with drawings. Can you please try this and let me know if it addresses the problem?

1. Close Fusion

2. In Windows Explorer go to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\ (may need to turn on hidden files/folders to see it)

3.  Delete the FusDoc folder - Note: If there are any other folders with similar name, FusDoc 2016 or similar, please delete as well (please make a note of whether these exist or not, I'm curious)

4.  Re-launch Fusion and try to create or open a drawing.

Please let me know if that does it for you.

Thanks,
Chris
