Fusion 360 with Solidworks Plastics

Hi,

I want to use Fusion 360 to create industrial molds. Can I do it with only Fusion 360 or do I have to associate it with a software like Solidworks Plastics? And can I?

Have you got some tips to give me.

Thank you.

Yes you can create industrial molds with Fusion 360. Solidworks plastics is for flow simulation is that something your looking to do also or just make the molds?

Yes, I want to have the same workflow to simulate the injection to make the necessary corrections. Can they work together?

@TheCADWhisperer

I found it before. Very good introduction to molding. Thank you.

You can't do the flow simulation directly in Fusion to my knowledge, but you can export the molds to Solidworks for simulation there, but I don't really see the point in that workflow. You might as well just do it all in Solidworks because you sometimes will get geometry import errors going from Fusion to Solidworks. It would definitely work but would not be an optimal workflow. You will end up with "dumb" solids in Solidworks so you will have to do all your editing in Fusion 360.

thank you @PhilProcarioJr

Perhaps some fusion next features or some furture add-ons will do it. The goal is to work essentially with Fusion and to find a way to test the mold.

Yes! I haven't seen that injection simulation was added to future consideration! So wait and see!
