Rendering error

Hi!

I have huge trouble with rendering my model on Fusion 360.
"Your rendering could not be rendered because an error occurred. Please check your file and try again."

The model is 50MB IGES import with many elements. I have deleted all previous materials (I thought it was caused by missing maps) but still the same. Could be caused by large model size? How to deal with it?

Hi,

This looks like a cloud rendering issue. I suppose you can do the rendering in "in canvas render", right?

I will ask the team to look at it to see what is going on.

Thanks

Chengyun

Yes I can perform "in canvas render" but neither "cloud" nor "local" render.

Hi BartsGarage,

Do you mind sharing your model with us so that we can look into the issue?

Thanks,

Hey,

Unfortunately I'm not allowed to share it publicaly. Is a way to send a model directly to Autodesk team to let them see what's happening?

Hi BartsGarage,

You can share your model privately with us through A360.  In your A360 project, look for the share button and you can add our emails.  My email is: dong dot yang @ autodesk dot com.

Thanks,

-Dong

Hi oziz10,

Sorry to hear about that.  Can you do cloud rendering on that model?  If you can share your model with us, we'll look into it.  You can add me (dong dot yang @ autodesk dot com) to your A360 project.  That way I will get your fusion file.

Thanks,

-Dong

Hi oziz10, is your rendering issue still there?  We figured out the issue with BartsGarage's rendering.  His imported design contains non-English characters in model parts names.  After replacing those characters, both local and cloud rendering work.  See if your issue is similar to this.  Thanks, -Dong

Is it quick way to search browser for invelid names that cause rendering error? It's annoying to go through all the handreds of components.

As far as I can tell, there is no quick way to do Find and Replace inside Fusion.  Our developers are seeking a fix solution, but it may take some time as it doesn't look like an easy fix.  Please stay tuned.

Thanks,

It would be useful option "FIND AND REPLACE NAME" in elements browser. Especially in huge designs.

The solutiont to fix the render error caused by special characters in non-English language has been found and is being integrated.  It should be rolled out soon.  With this fix, do you still need this "Find and Replace" tool?  I can think of some situations where this tool can be handy but that's all based on my speculation.  If you feel strong about it, please submit it on IdeaStations.

Thanks,

-Dong

To people who have been following this thread, the fix to this issue was released in the latest Fusion 360 (6/22/2016). If you have non-English characters in your design parts names, you're welcome to give it a try.

Thanks again for your help!

Hi zeeshan.vervatwala,

Sorry to hear about your problem.  The fix rolled out earlier this year is applied to the issue caused by characters or letters for non-English languages in a model's body or component name.  If you don't have such letters in your model, the issue may have a different cause. If you want to share your model with us, we can investigate the cause.  You can add me to your project.  My email is dong dot yang @ autodesk dot com.

Thanks,

-Dong

Hi all,

I'm experiencing the same kind of issue, but only when requesting a Turntable re-render, with 36 frames instead of 6 frames. Except for this 36-frame turntable the model renders perfectly: in-canvas, local, cloud, in all resolutions. During rendering, the separate frames are visible in the rendering gallery - just not the last one or the complete movie.

I have verified my setup with a very simple model, and there appears to be nothing wrong - the simple model renders perfectly at 36 frames in several resolutions. It must be something with my model. I can't publicly share this model.

Sorry that you are struggling with this. Are you using Revit or Fusion? The fastest way to solve this is for you to share your model so that the team can debug. You can send it to me  directly john.hutchinson@autodesk.com or you can add me to your project.
