Fractions in Dimensions Don't Work

When working in one unit system and entering the units using another system (in the attached image: Working in mm but I need something dimensioned in mm), fractions don't seem to work. For example, entering 1/4 inches comes up as an invalid. Has anyone else had this issue?fractions.PNG

wow, that's a bad (or good, depending on your point of view Smiley Happy) bug.  Thanks for reporting it.

It works OK, apparently, if there is something before "1/4 in", such as "1 1/4 in", or if you omit the "in" part.  Very strange.

Until we fix it, you'll have to resort to "0.25 in" as a workaround.

Yea, it's been a bit weird. Omitting the "in" wouldn't work in this case, because then it would default to the original units, so it would end up being the wrong dimension.

I tried to type in 1"/4 and 1in/4 and both worked. I've come across this many times before and don't see it as a bug.  I consider it a call to be a bit more creative 😉

thanks for the creative workaround @TrippyLighting.  I like it.

But, I still would say that this is a bug.

This is a bit of an inversion - the customer saying it's not a bug, and the dev team says it is  🙂
