extruding on a path

Assume you mean "path" (not "oath").  Check out Sweep:  Sweep Reference

I would like to make a hole from the top of my piece and needs to come down
and make a 90 and go out the other side ##- Please type your reply above

If the circles on either end are the same size, use Sweep, as I suggested.  If they are different sizes, use Loft with Centerline (for the path).

you don't "extrude" on a path.  you can "sweep" on a path.  I don't see a path in your pic.
