Issue with exported DWG from fusion

Hi everyone,

The workshop that needs to open my design asked me for a DWG export, so I exported my design with fusion but it appears that they have a scaling issue with my exported file.

Anyone has an idea on how to fix it? here are some on the said files.

-what size are these suppose to be? (probably best answered by attaching your .f3d file of your model)

-what is the manufacturing process?

-they need a solid model, or a 2d representation?

-they didn't ask for tech drawings?

Hey @laughingcreek , thanks for the time you took reading and answering.

You'll find in the attached files the original format.

They didn't ask for techfiles.

I used to export differently without fusion but now that I'm trying the paid for version I thought it 'd make it easier.

Thaks again.

this is an issue with the cloud translator.  it's is translating it as if the document units are cm.  no idea why, or why AD doesn't correct this behavior.   the work around for now is to set the units in your documents to cm before you do the export-

Fusion does set the units used to create the file in the DWG. The ones you attached are set to mm.

Here opened in ZW3d.

The opening program should be able to read this info but I think with AutoCAD you'd need to insert the file into a document set to your working units to get AutoCAD to scale it correctly.

If you are using AutoCAD, open a template set to the units you want to work in then insert the file from Fusion. Not used AutoCAD for years but I think you had to insert using the block command and explode the block after inserting.

Alright, I'm not using autocad, it's a tip I can provide to the shop, tbh I asked another quote from another shop since the previous one was for unknown reasons really shady about the software they were using.

I'll let you guys know how it unfolds.

Thanks a lot for your time.
