What is Your Mac configuration / model? I'm thinking about buying a Mac mini in the close future and I'm wondering is it correct idea, or maybe I should buy just a new PC.

Its a macbook pro, it is really good especially for the CAD work, would definitely recommend getting one.   However its important to check that all the software you want is available for download on Mac and that (for programs you already have) your license and the software can be transfered.

Hi @Anonymous,

Just a quick question for you, does your model have any externally referenced components? This can be indicated by the chain-link image next to the component name in the browser tree. If this is the case, then the option for exporting local archive files won't be available since it will have to export the file as a .f3z file which is not currently available in Fusion. If this is the case, you will have to go to your A360 account and export the .f3z file from there.

If this answered your question, please feel free to go ahead and mark this answer as a solution, that way others can benefit from this thread. Let me know if you have any more questions or if your model didn't contain any referenced files. I'd be more than happy to help!

Thanks,

Hi James,

Thanks, yes all the components are referenced externally as they in a large assembly file.

How do I access the A360 account?

Thanks

Henry

Hi @Anonymous,

You can either access it by clicking the triangle logo in the top-right corner of the Data Panel or by going to www.myhub.autodesk360.com. Let me know if this export option works for you.

Hi James,

I have accessed the account.

My assembly file has not been up loaded to the project in the account.   It is the file is uploading however has not progressed at all.   Can I reset it and re-upload it?

Hi @Anonymous,

Yep. You can do this by following the instructions on this link. Hopefully this works and you can upload the file! If not, please let me know so we can try to figure out a workaround.

Hi @Anonymous,

I don't believe that the folder Autodesk is hidden, but we can check. Further down in the article it shows how to enable hidden folders for a mac. Try that and see if you can find it. If not, I will ask around (I'm a Windows user unfortunately 😞 ).

Unfortunately that hasn't revealed the folder and I am still unable to find the file to allow me to clear the upload dialog.

Does Fusion not have a built in clear feature?

Hi Henry,

I took a look at that link, but I am unsure of what you tried. I would hold off on deleting your local cache as this gets rid of everything that is locally saved. One quick question for you, were you working offline and then came online to save your work? If so this has been known to cause uploading sync issues. Just so I can take a further peek as to what is going on can you please send me your diagnostic log files (these can be found in the help menu in the top-right corner of Fusion).

EDIT: Whoops, I viewed the wrong link originally. Please disregard my first couple of sentences. Just let me know if you started offline and came back online. I'm curious to see if this is the issue.

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous,

So from your log files it seems that the last time you were able to upload the file successfully was a few days ago. Then an issue occurred where it caused your assembly to have corrupted links and this is when your upload got stuck. Unfortunately, the corrupted links is a known issue that is getting fixed with the September update. Then it looks like when you cleared your upload queue it was empty and that you promoted a working file (v57) and now you have a working file that is not corrupted. Kudos on performing your own workaround! You should be all set to upload these files. Please let me know if you have any more questions, as I did notice you created another forum post that is very similar to this one.

Thanks,

Hi @Anonymous,

You can go ahead and email your submission to design4autodesk@autodesk.com. I do believe they are accepting .f3z files now too. Let me know if you have anymore questions, I'd be more than happy to help!

Thanks,
