Edit Form doesn't update model

I (thought) I was a reasonably fluent user of Forms, but I'm out to sea here...

I have created 3 forms (which do overlap) using loft along a spine in Form space. In this model I have only used forms (so far) - no surface or patch. I have been editing the forms (Edit Form) and somewhere along the way my t-spline bodies went away and I was left with surfaces. I didn't notice as I was jumping into edit form regularly via edit feature and updating successfully. Then F360 crashed. The recovery file seemed to have merged two of the bodies together; it seemed I had 3 surface bodies and one t-spline body but only the surface bodies showed in the model tree. I ended up hiding the "nonexistent" Form leaving me with 3 surface bodies. Now however, when I use Edit Form, the edited form shows, but when I Finish Form I'm left with the original surface body. This is shown in the video.

So, what did I do to end up with my forms turning into surfaces? and why do I seem to be able to edit the form but end up with neither a t-spline body or an updated surface?

Really could use some advice here as I stand to lose quite a bit of work if I need to start over..

Thanks, Ron

Can you share your model? (export as .f3d and attach to next post)

@rbuckDF7GX - "and somewhere along the way my t-spline bodies went away and I was left with surfaces" - this is the way that Form features work in a parametric design - when you exit from Form mode, the T-Spline bodies are converted into BRep bodies - if the T-Spline is open, that will be a surface body, if closed, it will be a solid.  I see in your timeline you have 3 Form features - each one most likely has a single T-Spline body with it.  If you edit the first, you will only see the T-Spline for that feature.  As @TrippyLighting says, though, unless you can share the model here, we can only really guess...  Thanks!

Jeff, Peter, thanks for looking. Sorry I've been away for a few days.

So Jeff, I realized after posting that the open form would give me a surface feature (just forgot :-/). Thanks for reminding me.

I found (via desperate random actions) that copying the Form that wouldn't edit/update (while in form space), leaving form space, then re-entering form space and deleting the copy cleared what ever issue was blocking me from getting the update. I hope that makes sense. I'm guessing that the F360 crash had corrupted my model. No amount of re-computes, saves, exiting F360 helped, but that copy/delete did, and I'm moving forward again.

If you still have some interest in pursuing I'll try to find/post a copy of the corrupted file, but otherwise I'm writing this off as "disaster avoided".

Unless you think I may be running on borrowed time, and this may still come back to bite me?

Thanks,

Ron
