Problem with drawing.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thanks for sharing this.

Could you may try the following:

  1. Go to the ProgramData folder on your C-drive.
  2. Enter the Autodesk folder.
  3. Delete the FusDoc folder.

The path is
C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\FusDoc.

NOTE: You may need to have "show hidden files and folders" enabled to perform the process below. Please refer to How to enable hidden files and folders on Windows for more information.

Note that you should not delete the entire Autodesk folder as this will cause issues with Fusion and other Autodesk Applications. If you make a mistake while going through this process, perform a manual clean uninstal of Fusion 360 (instructions in below link), and then reinstall Fusion 360.
How to do a clean uninstall of Autodesk Fusion 360

Please, keep me updated if this was helpful.

Thanks,

I have the same problem, have tried everything including a clean install. I'm on Mac-Yosemite and still am not able to open or create drawings.

Thanks

Hi @Sophi9999,

Thank you for asking about that.

Do you receive an error message when you try to launch Fusion 360?

Could you may share the Diagnostic Log files under "Help" with us?

Thanks for your help,

hi, @Anonymous

Sorry for your trouble. Here is a similar discussion about such kind of issue in https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/cannot-launch-drawings/m-p/7032806#M109362. In that post, we have identified that, if the user name contains double-byte characters (character with an umlaut or Japanese characters, etc.), then Drawing cannot be launched. May you confirm if this is the same case with yours? If it is, you can try the workaround described in that post as well, to create a new account without any double-byte characters in the name and install Fusion360 to use Drawing. We know this is inconvenience and will get the fix out as soon as it's feasible.

My issue was because Python was installed in the wrong folder. Someone from the Fusion dev team helped me to move the Python installation to the correct place and everything worked.

Up until then I had tried everything.
