timeline and browser problem

Anonymous

since the last update, i have problems with the  browser and timeline.

the browser: when scrolling down it always jumps 2 steps up, so it is impossible to select the 2 last items.

the time line: when you scrol the timeline to the end and want to dubbel click an item ( for example) 5 steps before the end, the time line jumps several steps. so you cannot dubbel click the item; very strange.

i'm working on the apple version.

Hi,

I can definitely reproduce both of these issues, it appears there is a workaround for them while we dig deeper and find a solution. The workaround is to move the mouse cursor so it is over the scroll bar itself, rather than the data being scrolled. So in the timeline, you can move the mouse cursor above the icons, and in the component browser, can move the mouse cursor to the left of the items. I know this isn't a great solution, but hopefully it will reduce frustration while we work on a fix.

Hi Matt,

I have similar problem on the Mac.  I needed to right-click on a component a the bottom ot the browser list, but the list jumps up and I can't do it.  The stay-left workaround doesn't seem to work for this.  I found I can left-click in the browser to select the component, then right-click on the component in the design itself.

Thanks for the help!

Hi Ray,

I took another look at this and realized that the behavior in the component browser is a little more subtle. If your mouse cursor is over the scroll bar, the 'bounce' when reaching the end of the list still happens, it is only if the mouse cursor is over the empty space between the items and the scroll bar (as highlighted in the image below) that scrolling to the end works correctly.

We're working to fix this at the moment, unfortunately it didn't make it into last nights update, but will be coming soon.

Matt.

Unfortunately Microsoft touch screen gesture support also has issues, we are working to resolve these as well.
