Deleting component from body

New to cad design and this may not be possible but it would make my life really easy if it was. I imported a 4pin DT connector to my model and want to hit a button to delete everything covered by the connector I imported, so when I print it I can put a real connector in. Any help?

Please attach your model so the Forum Users can give you some suggestions.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

You can either Delete or Remove bodies (Remove is preferred) if they are separate bodies.  If it is just a single body, then you can use the Split Body command(You may need to do this multiple times).

Hi,

I would strongly recommend that you do the embedded tutorials in the Fusion Documentation and also some of the

Self-Paced Learning to help you to learn fusion faster and better. They can be found here:

It is also much easier for the forum to help you if you attach your file AND a screenshot of what you want to achieve

and what the problem is. You can create a file to export like this:

Time spent on the tutorials and self paced learning will not be wasted. Also check out the three RULES that are pinned to the forum for further guidance.

What you want to do is use the imported connector as a cutting tool to remove the parts of your model that you

don't want. This should be able to be done with the Combine Tool.

When getting rid of unwanted bodies, the preferred way is to use Remove so that if you need to come back later

and fix something then you can. If it is Deleted - its GONE.

Cheers

Andrew
