decal applying to multiple faces at once, even with chain faces unchecked..

so I have a file, I can't upload, its a work file and proprietary..

it was a step file that was handed to me to render.

as I'm going along I'm attempting to apply a different decal for each flooring sample..

however when I do so, it applies the decal do every sample..

even though they are in their own component.

any help?

I'm attaching a screen shot to help hopefully.

I tried isolating.. nothing is working. restarted the computer and fusion multiple times.

I'm deff a newb to the program but still, this should be more apparent as to what is wrong..

anyone got any pointers they wanna flex?

A screen shot of the browser probably isn't going to be help full in diagnosing, perhaps creating a mockup file that exibits the problem and attach that?

one WAG- are theses multiple instances of the same component?  editing one component edits all instances, not just the one your in.

From your browser image, I see that "Mod F test board" is one component with 5 instances.  I cannot tell whether "Mod F wing w boards for rende..." is an instanced component or not.  But, if so, understand that if you apply a decal to an instance of the component, it will be applied to all instances:

You would have to create the instances using Paste New (instead of Paste) for internal components.  This creates an independent copy of the component.
