Cutting cube from sphere issue

Hello friends,

What I'm trying to achieve is cut a 180mm cube out of a 210mm sphere:

The preview looks great, as you can see, but as soon as I press Ok on that feature, the top part is missing:

Here is the above example file: https://a360.co/2MVwIBT

Am I missing something, or is this a bug?

Thank you!

Hello,

It seems to be a bug. The missing part is always in the direction of the extrusion.

A workaround is to combine a sphere primitive with a box primitive.

Do I need to fill a bug somewhere to help fixing this faster, or posting it here will suffice?

AFAIK, the most efficient way to report a bug is to open a new thread in the Support forum with "Bug" in the title.

More info: Support Board Best Practices

But wait a couple of days. Maybe someone @Anonymous will read this thread.

And of course, you can also select New Body for the extrusion and next use the combine tool.

yes, that is a bug.  Good catch.  I log it with the modeling team.  Very strange...

[edit]  the bug is FUS-58777
