CutPaste not CopyPaste in History Line

Hello. I downloaded a Sample project so I could step through the creators history, trying to learn how to use the software, ideas on building, etc. While steping through, I come across something in the History line called "Cutpaste".

Looks like they are moving one componant inot another to become a sub componant. How is this being done?

All I am able to find is copy a componant into another. How do you move a componant?

I am green as can be, so forgive me if the answer is smacking me in the face.

You get a CutPaste if you drag a body or component into another component or right click a component and select cut then right click on another component and paste.

Thank you for a quick responce. I would have expected the same when trying to get a CutPaste, however this did not work. I was never given an option to "Paste" when I used "Cut".  If I "Copied", there was then a "Paste" option. Very strange. Perhaps its becuse I am using someone elses project?

I will create a new one and try it.

Ok, well I created a component. Then created a new empty component, and tried to "cut" the first one, and "paste" into the second one, but I have no "paste" option. Any ideas what i am doing wrong?

Ok well, I was fortunate enough to stumble across a similar question. The reason I could not cit and paste was because I was not at the end of the history time line. That explains why when i was stepping through the downloaded project, the cut and paste options was not available. Moving the history to the end allowed me to cut and past 🙂
