Copy and paste elements between sketches in different planes

I have sketch geometry in the YZ plane.  I want to copy/paste it into a sketch in the XY plane at various values of -X using point-to-point PASTE command.   this means the geometry will still be in YZ, just that it will be aligned and have new X values.

when I put the YZ plane sketch in EDIT mode my XY sketch becomes unavailable.  when I COPY outside of EDIT mode then I can't get a PASTE command to show up.

I've done this before, but can't replicate the environment I had set up.

please tell me the environment I need, that is - I have from sketch, lets call it sketchA, and to sketch, sketchB.  what mode do I select the geometry for the COPY?  what mode for PASTE?  do I need construction planes at the locations I am moving the geometry to?  is there a concept of current active plane perhaps that I am missing?

like I said, I got this to work on prior iterations.  the second attachment shows a similar arrangement of what I am trying to achieve.  these are cross section stations of a kayak paddle.  I use them to loft the paddle blade [well, half of it since it is symmetric].

In modelling window, does not have to be active sketch.
select articles to copy, then Cntrl C without the menu, or right mouse click for menu, click Copy,

Create or edit destination sketch, must go into destination sketch, to see paste option,
then Cntrl V or right mouse click, select Paste,

before OK,
you can move for alignment

then OK.
Stop Sketch.

Repeat

A little bit clearer.

here's what is happening for me in fusion 360 [AKA confusion all around]

1. I select the desired geometry. works fine.
2. I select a sketch. fine
3. I enter PASTE. the desired geometry appears projected into the sketch
plane. If I have selected a sketch in the XY plane then the copied
geometry appears in the XY plane rotated 90°. when I edit sketch in the YZ
plane, it appears projected into the new construction plane.
4. so I enter point-to-point to move it, select from and to points and
enter. nothing happens.
5. I select the geometry that is sitting out in space in the sketch plane,
perform a simple P2P MOVE/COPY [as opposed to a copy, paste], and viola,
it finally is in place.

GRANTED, THIS is a workaround, but confusing.

this drawing is named "parametric x-sctn 2 V5

As a workaround your might just project (Sketch -> Project/Include -> Project (or press P) the parts of the sket you want to have. But with this solution you can't change the projected part.

Breaking the Link will give full control to Move in the new sketch,

however @Anonymous has trouble with the moves, or alignments, possible constraint conflicts.

his original question requires moving the parts in line for a later mirror operation.

The file link link is not working in current format.
