Converting set point splines to lines in a sketch?

I was trying to create a sketch to extrude, and to draw in the curved shapes I thought I would use a spline to create the shape, that it did successfully however I could find no way to convert the splines to lines to make a solid profile.

I have used splines to make convoluted shapes in PhotoShop then converted to solid lines, but no joy with Fusion.

I did a search on the subject but all the queries seemed to be on exporting to other software, and nothing that made sense to me for what I was attempting.

I have managed to work around the problem for now but it would be handy to know how it is done for next time, I might add I am a newcomer to Fusion and don't really understand half of the posts I read at this stage

You don't need to convert splines to lines to create a solid body.  You do need to have closed boundaries to create 3d models from sketch geometry.

p.s. Attach your Fusion 360 file to the thread for more help.  Click on the File menu, select Export,  Archive file *.f3d to create the file.

Your terms are a little off, but here goes,

you made a sketch, and when you closed off the shape the sketch shaded in a light blue colour?

Finish the sketch, and then in the Modelling area you can proceed using that shaded blue profile, most common is to select it and Extrude to a depth.  Other tools may need  more sketches.

Then there is wireframe systems if solid material is not required.

Might help...

@etfrench

I had ditched the previous file so I have recreated it, What I am trying to do is create a stand to support a rail.

Created 2 circles and cut off the top section and  closed the gaps, then created a line at the bottom as a base the used the set point spline to connect the edge of the circle to the base line, I then created a construction centre line and then mirrored the spline.

When I close the sketch to extrude the object the circle selects but the rest of the drawing doesn't, I suspect it is caused by the splines not connecting to the circle, but I have not been able to work out how to connect them.

Photo attached is what I ended with, fits on the end of a pole to support a rail.

Redraw the top line, and connect it to the mirrored splines.

I don't know how to fix the yellow warning.

@jeff_strater :  When the straight line in the sketch is extended, Compute fails.  If the line is deleted, then redrawn between the spline end points, no warning is generated.

@Anonymous : The original straight line's right end is not coincident with the spline end point.  The white circle instead of a black circle shows this.

It's not possible to fix once it occurs 😞

Thanks that fixed it, I would have bet my last buck it was where the top spline connects to the circle, there is a white spot there and I was never sure if it had attached.

But that is part of the learning curve, I much appreciate the swift and helpful replies to my questions, unlike some forums I have been on.
