Linked components not giving yellow button option to update anymore

Hi,

I have an assembly with a number of jointed linked components and normally when I edit a part in one window, it will update in the other window after refreshing the file list but now it isn't recognizing any connection between the two windows. Only recently in the past couple hours it stopped working. The yellow button at the top next to the undo and redo buttons doesn't appear anymore to auto update out of date parts and I have to manually find and select the part I edited to bring it to the latest version and rebuild the whole assembly for everything to sort itself out. It's really tedious that the update button isn't appearing anymore.

I have tried restarting fusion and my computer without success, I would really appreciate the help in getting this fixed because if I share the file with other people, they might have to go through the same problem and we will all be working on out of date parts.

Thanks! I haven't done too much testing but just in case I forget to accept the solution later, it looks to be working again, thank you so much!
