Centering and Moving Multiple Sketches

Hello Autodesk community! Appreciate all the knowledge I have learned from the community already.

I have searched the forums and the net but have not found out how to align a group of sketches. The problem is very straightforward, but I do not know the correct workflow. I have used the pattern to make a grid array of a circle, and want to align all 4 to the square. Coming from Illustrator / Cinema 4D, I would simply group them and align to the square, my target object. I can align one circle, but can I align a group of sketches to the middle?

A bonus extra credit for overachievers: After I extrude the circles to cylinders, can I merge the four cylinders bodies as one? When I say merge, I do not mean physically merge the objects, rather the bodies will be recognized as one unit.

I appreciate any suggestions!

Best regards,

Andrew

Hi,

Please share your design.

This way it is easier to give hints.

Thank you, but how can I delete the points when the sketch is locked? And why is it locked?

Hi,

you described the lock symbol.

This means > fully defined (not locked)   vs. pencil  not fully defined.

Hi,

1. Double click on sketch or right click > edit
2. in this case : left click on triangle (midpoint constraint) > delete

HI @Anonymous ,

I'll create a video and show you how'd I approach this.  You have to think about the problem a little differently than in Illustrator (20+ year user myself).  The power is in the mathematical formula Fusion uses to capture and maintain design intent. Yes, there are many approaches to what you're trying to accomplish, this is, but one.  video coming shortly...

Video:  Also attached the .f3d

hope this helps,
