how to make a twisted tube

I want to make a round twisted tube ( like a 'wokkel"vorm ) like this:

I know how to make the round tube (and it has to be hollow) but I can not find how to make the spiral (wokkel= dutch) shape.

Can anybody help me?

Hello @Anonymous ! There are several ways to create twisted sections in Fusion. One is to sweep a profile around a coil's edge using a guide rail.

But what I mean is the right form but it has to be round like a circle and not straight.

So a twisted hollow tube, somthing like this but than it has to go round and closed like a circle:

 

It is hard to explain because I can not find the right picture, but I hope this will help you to understand.

Hi,

If you use the file I attached in #2 and create the profiles as you like and use the appropriate options (twist) along the subcircle with the sweeptool to form a body, you have what you showed in the screenshots of your last post.

I didn't make it hollow, but you can. Just change the profile to suit as desired.

Hi Marina,
 what are you doing here.
After you started the thread with a sample image, I and @dikshant. made 4 suggestions, some of them with an attached file. Your reaction was: ..., but.

I could not see from your contributions that you were really concerned with the proposals.
Now @chrisplyler and @TheCADWhisperer have added the variants 5 and 6.

Possibly more will follow.
