How important do you still think UI considerations are compared to this ?
The priority stratagem remains at odds with my continued use. The value and liabilities present are continually contesting, with sunk cost too often the final arbiter of my path. That ain't the way it should be. I've urged, time and again, for elevating core functionality and reliability over new feature development. The UI goals do not seem to serve any compelling interest of mine.
It has been strongly suggested to me the various disciplines laboring to build Fusion are adequately resourced, that the pace of progress is not limited by the number of people tasked to to any particular discipline, and that, to an actionable degree, the diverse priories guiding development are not in practical contest. Ultimately, performance qualifies these characterizations. My impression- what we are party to is akin to the early development of surgery, or colonization: outcome and needs of users inform progress, but, individually, some are expected to not survive the transition from here to there. This is testified to by the lack of user manual- a document for some future users, in which we will likely feature as a grateful footnote, thank you for your sacrifices. Of course, the truth is something other- designers are not siloed away in an ivory tower, focused purely on their own esoteric concerns or industry mechanics; they are more akin to well intended community members who join law enforcement to help police their own neighborhoods, but have lost touch with the streets, connections obscured by process, political concerns, and imposed priorities.
I don't need <new UI developments>. At all!
I reckon, if the no-contesting-priories narrative is, to a degree, wishful, your feedback should be alarming. For my part, the October subscription condition inducement was declined for a lack of confidence, unable to reconcile the price paid in wasted time with real and elusive value; it wasn't about an amount of money, but a rejection of swallowing my own resentment. I should have just felt gratitude for the offer. I didn't. That should be alarming.
