Can't set the snap increment to desired distance

I hope this isn't too rudimentary, but I have searched everywhere for an answer to no avail.

I simply want to set  up a drawing with 12" major grids, 12 minor divisions, and a snap/increment of 1/16" fixed. F360 won't let me enter 1/16" It reds out and won't take. I don't need 1/64" precsion for the drawings I am working on which seems to be the default. Help.

I'm not sure if I understand this question, but I'm going for the answer anyway! 🙂

For sketching, the increments setting isn't going change the snap distance. This is done by setting a fixed sketch grid and then using the snap to grid option.

These setting would create a grid of 1x1" that will allow you to snap to the grid intersection points. If you want to snap to every 1/16", you could set the minor subdivisions to 12*16 = 192.

The increments field may not need the quotation mark for inch if you have already defined the units in the Browser.

I note that the increments setting will impact 3D commands like press/pull, box primitive or extrude.

I hope this helps clarify a few things and answers your questions. Let me know either way. I am happy to help!

Thanks,
